Vintage Pair of Silver Plated Ice Tongs

Bag an example of fine workmanship from Elkington & Co who introduced the electro-plating process to this country in 1840.  Their dating system shows these claw end tongs were cast in 1934.  Imagine the clink of ice in a long glass, Poirot on the Nile – pure Art Deco!

Length: 16cms

Condition:  Good. A horizontal scratch on one side of the tongs.  Otherwise slight scratches commensurate with age.
